Short Game Fix
Lowering Your Handicap
Mastering the short game in golf requires understanding and proficiency in various types of shots, each with its own secrets and techniques. One crucial aspect is chipping, which involves finesse and precision.
The secret to successful chipping lies in maintaining a consistent tempo and using the bounce of the club effectively to create a controlled, accurate shot. Golfers also need to focus on the setup, ensuring the ball position is slightly back in the stance and the hands are ahead of the ball at impact. Developing a reliable chipping technique can significantly lower scores by saving crucial strokes around the greens.

Course Management
Mindset Developement
Course management skill is the ability to make strategic decisions on the course, such as club selection, shot placement, and course navigation. An amateur golfer needs to learn course management skill to lower their handicap because it can help them:

Play to their strengths and avoid their weaknesses. For example, if a golfer is good at hitting irons but not woods, they can choose to lay up on a long par 4 instead of trying to reach the green in two shots.

Avoid unnecessary risks and penalties. For example, if a golfer is faced with a water hazard or a bunker, they can choose to play it safe and aim for the center of the green instead of going for the pin. By learning course management skill, an amateur golfer can improve their overall performance and  can save golfers up to 10 strokes per round. Therefore, learning course management skill is a worthwhile investment for any amateur golfer who wants to lower their handicap.

It is the courage to continue that counts.”
